Donation to Kamloops Food Bank

On Labour Day members of IBEW LU 993 attended the Labour Day Picnic to raise funds for the Kamloops Food Bank by barbecuing hamburgers, smokies and hotdogs. The Food Bank began at the Kamloops United Church as a way to assist people through the devastating effects of the high inflation rates of the early 1980s.

7000 individuals accessed the services at the Kamloops Food Bank in 2018
32% of clients are children under 18
62% are adults
6% are seniors

Glen Hilton, Mollie Routledge and Angeline Camille presented the donation cheque for $638.15 to the Kamloops Food Bank.
