IBEW Local 993 Veterans

Greetings:

The IBEW recognizes the great diversity that our membership represents and the importance of engaging members to ensure that the work of the IBEW continues to reflect that diversity. The First District IBEW Veterans Committee is comprised of 1 or 2 representatives per local union of the First District. The committee meets via virtual meetings (normally monthly). The committee’s goals include efforts toward veteran appreciation, addressing issues important to our IBEW veterans and the veteran’s community at large, and encouraging more veterans to join the IBEW by sharing best practices that Local Unions can adopt for veteran applicants to our apprenticeship programs.

The purpose of this correspondence is to solicit the name(s) of anyone from your Local Union who is a veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces and willing to serve on this very important committee.

Please submit your name and contact information to my office via email (ibewveteransd1@gmail.com) if you are interested and willing to serve on this committee to assist in accomplishing its goals ASAP.
