Deadline for the Leadership Accelerator for Trades Students (LATS) to Sunday, August 30.
LATS is a unique opportunity for trades students and apprentices to develop leadership skills, build connections across the province, and grow their confidence both on and off the tools. We know this program can make a real difference for participants, and I would greatly appreciate your help sharing it with anyone who might be interested.
The Leadership Accelerator for Trades Students (LATS) is a free, six-month, cohort-based leadership program for trades students and apprentices across BC. It is designed for people who show potential and curiosity, not just those who already have leadership experience. Participants will build confidence, communication skills, and practical leadership capacity alongside a diverse group of peers, while working together on a hands-on capstone project.
We are accepting applications now and are looking for students and apprentices who are motivated, open to growth, and ready to invest in themselves and their community. If someone comes to mind, we would love for you to encourage them to apply or share the opportunity with your network.
While ConnectHER Hub is known for supporting women and gender-diverse people in trades, the Leadership Accelerator for Trades Students is open to people of all genders. We are looking to build a diverse cohort that reflects the trades community and would particularly appreciate your help encouraging men, women, and gender-diverse students and apprentices to consider applying. Strong leadership benefits everyone, and we welcome applications from anyone eager to learn, grow, and contribute to their trade and community.
The application is open to anyone currently studying or working in a trade in BC.
We’ve extended the application deadline to Sunday, August 30, to give interested applicants a little more time to apply.
