Blast from the Past Thanks to Local 502

I received this email from Dave Stephen, the President of Local 502, this morning and I had to share it.

Good morning,

I had to pass this story on to you guys;

One of my retirees was just in to the office, Bob Splane DOB 1931…we a great chat and then he started to tell me about when he worked at the Aluminum smelter in Kitimat in 1954. They drove to Vancouver where they then took a 32 hour ferry ride to Kitimat. When the “Bunk houses” got full they brought in a stern wheel river boat “Delta King” or “Delta Queen” he thought…for the overflow of workers.

You guys have helping us out for a long time it would seem.
