How to Get a Phone Call for Work

In the past, the dispatch office would track the availability of all members, then call each member down the list until a request was filled. This could result in over 100 phone calls and take hours longer than it should to find 1 or 2 members for a job.

We have systems in place now where members can view dispatch requests online or call into a job line (778-470-8478) using any phone. Members can register for dispatch requests using either method. By registering, you are putting your name on a list of people that will be called for that request.

If you do not register using the online system or the job line, you will not receive a phone call for that dispatch request.

All requests will be added to the web site and job line by 4:00 pm on the day that they are received. The requests will remain open for registrations until 8:00 am the next business day. After 8:00 am, a list of everyone that has registered is created and members are called in the order that they are on the out of work list.

It doesn't matter when you register, the order of the call out will be determined by the list order.

If you do not register using the online system or the job line, you will not receive a phone call for that dispatch request.

Using the online system is preferred and will show you where you are on the list of people that registered and the number of people that registered. This is updated dynamically as people register. Over time, knowing where you are on the list of members that registered for requests will give you a good idea as to when you'll get out to work.

If you do not register using the online system or the job line, you will not receive a phone call for that dispatch request.

Email Notifications of New Requests

If you'd like to be automatically notified of job postings that you might be interested in, you can set up Email Notifications in the Members Only section of our website.

If you're using a computer, you will see the option in the light gray column on the left side of the page. If you're using a mobile device, tap the red Member Navigation button and scroll down to "Email Notifications".

Even More Information

The is getting pretty long, so I'll wrap it up. You can get more information by going to the Dispatch Blog, reading the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ), Registering for the test requests, asking questions, or giving the dispatch office a phone call in the afternoon at 778-470-5657.

If you do not register using the online system or the job line, you will not receive a phone call for that dispatch request.
