IBEW 993 Apprentice Ambrose Kent Wins Gold at Skills Canada Provincial Competition

We are proud to announce that Ambrose Kent, a dedicated apprentice with IBEW Local 993, has taken home first place at the Skills Canada Provincial Competition held on April 16, 2025!

Competing against the best up-and-coming electricians from across British Columbia, Ambrose demonstrated outstanding technical skill, precision, and professionalism throughout the event. His performance reflects the hard work, training, and commitment to excellence that defines IBEW 993 members.

Skills Canada competitions are highly challenging, testing participants across a range of electrical installation tasks under tight time constraints and strict judging criteria. Ambrose’s ability to stay calm under pressure and deliver top-quality workmanship speaks volumes about his future in the electrical trade.

As provincial champion, Ambrose will move on to represent British Columbia at the Skills Canada National Competition later this year, where he will compete against the top electrical apprentices from across the country.
