What is IBEW 993 NextGen?

NextGen is for IBEW 993 members who are 35 years and younger and want to make a difference in their union and their community.

Our goal is to encourage union activism through education, engagement, and leadership opportunities. We are here to equip young workers with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to become the leaders of tomorrow in both the labour movement and the electrical industry.

The IBEW 993 NextGen committee provides a space where young members can get involved in shaping the future of their local. We work to ensure that the voices, needs, and interests of younger members are heard, respected, and represented.

IBEW 993 is part of a North America-wide union of nearly 750,000 members across a wide variety of workplaces. For more than a century, the IBEW has stood at the forefront in the fight for fair wages, strong benefits, and safe working conditions.
