For IBEW 993, Labour Day is a vital occasion to honor the dedication and hard work of electrical workers and to reaffirm their commitment to advancing fair labor practices, safety, and quality standards in their trade.

The Labour Day Picnic, organized by the Kamloops & District Labour Council, provides a meaningful platform for IBEW 993 members to connect with the community, celebrate the progress made by the labor movement, and emphasize the importance of solidarity among workers. The picnic also serves as a reminder of the union's ongoing efforts to protect workers' rights and promote fair wages and safe working conditions in Kamloops and beyond.

We were cooking up burgers and dogs, along with soda and chips for hungry picnic goers. A special thanks to the members that showed up to volunteer in the IBEW 993 booth: Business Manager Jim Bicknell, Darin Bazley, Jessie Gobin, Angie Camille, and Glen Hilton.
