On July 10, 2015, the Patient Care Tower Project was approved at Royal Inland Hospital (RIH).
The project will be constructed in two phases.
Phase I includes the construction of a new patient care tower with two levels of underground parking.
Phase II includes renovations to the existing hospital building.
Construction on Phase I is expected to begin in fall 2018 and be completed by spring 2022, at which time construction will begin on Phase II. Phase II construction is expected to be completed by 2024 (according to Interior Health).
Face masks are mandatory full-time for all workers at the Hospital.
