Kamloops Storm Sponsorship for the 2024/2025 Season

Over the past few years, IBEW 993 has sponsored the Kamloops Storm's Wiener Dog Race night along with the Kamloops & District Labour Council (KDLC). We made it into a Labour Night and filled the arena with union members from the various unions affiliated with the KDLC. Each time we've partnered with the Kamloops Storm the results has been fantastic.
For the 2024/2025 season, IBEW 993 along with other members of the KDLC have decided to jump on board and be the major sponsors for the Kamloops Storm Hockey Team. This is going to include:
- Signage in the Olympic Arena at McArthur Island Sports Centre that will be visible for all events and functions that take place in the arena, not just for Storm Games.
- Title Sponsor for the Teddy Bear Toss game in December
- Title Sponsor for the Wiener Dog Race in February
- Various promotional considerations on the Storm website, social media, and during games.
- Tickets to Kamloops Storm Hockey games that we can give to IBEW 993 members.
This partnership not only helps a worthy member of our community become better, but represents a fantastic opportunity for unions in Kamloops to show themselves as the community leaders that they are. By advertising our unions, we're making it easier to do our business of organizing the unorganized and becoming stronger to better serve our members.
The Kamloops Storm are a Junior 'A' ice hockey team based in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada. They are members of the Doug Birks Division of the Okanagan/Shuswap Conference of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL). They play their home games at MacArthur Island Olympic Arena .
