New IBEW Theme Song ‘The Right Choice’ Available Online

Attendees to the 38th International Convention in Vancouver got a sneak preview of the new high-energy IBEW theme song, “The Right Choice.” Set to deep rock grooves and featuring a catchy chorus, the song became instantly recognizable during convention proceedings, when snippets were played to welcome delegates and speakers to the stage.

Now, members can download “The Right Choice” at their favorite digital music site, such as iTunes, Rhapsody, Zune, Amazon MP3, Spotify, iHeartRadio or eMusic.

Penned by songwriter Jon Christopher Davis of the Texas band Lone Star Attitude, “The Right Choice” is a soaring, mid-tempo anthem that showcases vocals and power chords as tough as a journeyman’s tools.

The tune starts with a passionate call for solidarity before opening up into a sing-along chorus:

With alternating male/female vocals, punches of slick guitar fills and a steady backbeat, “The Right Choice” is the perfect song to crank up in the car before hitting the job site, a rally or a local meeting.

A portion of proceeds will benefit the March of Dimes. Since the 2006 International Convention, IBEW members and employees have raised about $250,000 for the organization on the front lines of helping saving babies from birth defects, the nation’s No. 1 child health problem.
