On September 11, 2001 almost 3,000 people were killed in the worst terrorist attack in US history when the World Trade Center buildings and the Pentagon were hit by planes flown by the terrorists. Among those dead were 343 firefighters, and 72 law enforcement officials as well as 21 members of the IBEW.
Today we remember those who were lost and honour them with our memories. Let us remember so that we can ensure that we never have to suffer a loss like this again.
