Shoe Memorial and Red Dress Memorial

IBEW LU 993 Women's Committee is working with the Kamloops and District Labour Council to host the Annual Shoe Memorial and Red Dress Memorial. The Women's Committee is asking for assistance in collecting gently used women's and children's shoes for the memorial. Gently used shoes can be dropped off at any of the November unit meetings. Shoes will be brought back to Kamloops for the Memorial. The shoes will be added to the displays then tagged with a name in memory of women who died from violence. After the memorial, the shoes will be distributed to various charities like the Women's shelter.

Please join us on December 7th, 2019 at Moccasin Square Gardens Gym 315 Yellowhead Highway South at 11:00 am as we honour our murdered and missing sisters, mothers, and friends.
