IBEW 993 Supporting Each Other on World Mental Health Day
Posted on October 10, 2024 11:35 am
Today, October 10th, is World Mental Health Day—a day dedicated to raising awareness about mental health issues and fostering support for everyone in need. At IBEW 993, we recognize the importance of mental health for our members, families, and communities.
Mental health challenges can affect anyone, regardless of age, background, or occupation. The electrical trade can be especially demanding, with long hours, physical stress, and potential safety risks. That’s why we’re committed to supporting each other, both on and off the job. By breaking down the stigma around mental health, we can create a safe and open environment where everyone feels supported.
Today, take a moment to check in on yourself and your fellow brothers and sisters. Whether it's through a conversation, sharing resources, or just offering a listening ear, small actions can make a big difference. Remember, mental health is just as important as physical health, and we’re all in this together.
Let’s continue to build a strong and resilient IBEW 993 community by promoting understanding, empathy, and support for one another.
